Step 1: Preheat
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease and flour a round or rectangular cake pan.

- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
- Mix until smooth and well combined.

- Slowly pour in hot water or coffee.
- Mix gently (batter will be thin—this is normal).
Step 5: Bake
- Pour batter into the pan.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes.
- Test with a toothpick—it should come out clean.
Step 6: Cool
- Let cake cool 10 minutes in the pan.
- Turn out onto a rack and cool completely.

- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Stir in cocoa powder.
- Add milk and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread over cooled cake.
